Tournament Rules & Regulations – 2025 Edition

1. Tournament Overview
 
The 2025 edition of the Cricket T20 Tournament aims to bring together registered and eligible players from various chapters to promote sportsmanship, networking, and team collaboration. The tournament will be organized under standard T20 rules, with each match consisting of 20 overs per side.
 
 
2. Team Participation
•Maximum Teams: A total of 12 teams will participate in the tournament.
•Automatic Qualification: The four semi-finalists of the previous edition — Amigos, Prolific, Nexus, and Triumph — will automatically qualify for this season.
•Replacement Rule: If any of the above four teams withdraws, the slot will be allotted to the next chapter/team having the highest number of player registrations.
 
 
3. Player Registration
•Registration Deadline: All player registrations must be completed by 30th November 2025.
•Eligibility Restriction:
•No unregistered player will be allowed to participate post the registration deadline.
•Player registration will be verified through the official database prior to squad finalization.
 
 
4. Player Eligibility Criteria
 
To maintain the integrity and standard of the tournament, all players must fulfill the following conditions:
1.Must be MSP Qualified.
2.Must be atleast an Amber Member for more than 6 months.
3.Must be a Red Member for less than 6 months.
4.Must be registered under TAP.
Players failing to meet the above criteria will not be eligible for selection or participation.
 
 
5. Team Composition & Retention Policy
•Each team can retain a maximum of 7 players from the previous season.
•The total squad size must be 18 players.
•The remaining players (after retention) will be acquired through a central auction process organized by the tournament committee.
•All teams must ensure a balanced mix of batsmen, bowlers, all-rounders, and wicketkeepers as per standard T20 guidelines.
 
 
6. Chapter-Level Team Formation
•For a chapter to form and register a team, there must be at least 7 registered members eligible and willing to participate.
•Chapters with fewer than 7 eligible members may collaborate with other chapters upon approval from the organizing committee.
 
 
7. Team Allocation in Case of Over-Registration
•If the total number of registered teams exceeds 12, final participation will be determined based on the number of registered players from each chapter.
•Chapters with higher player registrations will be given priority allocation.
•The final list of participating teams will be announced by the Tournament Organizing Committee (TOC) post-verification.
 
 
8. Administrative Provisions
•The Organizing Committee will finalize venues, schedules, match officials, and tournament rules in line with fair play standards.
•Disciplinary actions, player conduct, and grievance redressal mechanisms will follow the standard code of conduct prescribed by the TOC.
•All participating players and teams must adhere to the official tournament guidelines and consent to the code of conduct prior to participation.

This framework ensures a transparent, competitive, and well-organized T20 tournament encouraging active member participation while maintaining fairness and compliance with chapter and membership rules.
